Alison’s Visit to Ashley Bryan

Ashley Bryan’s children’s book work is truly extraordinary — the variety, the passion expressed, the history jumping out of each book — it is really a unique and great contribution to the field. My great fortune has been knowing Ashley personally. First of all because he used to teach art at my school and comes regularly to spend several days working with our students in various ways. I then also got to know him during my years at Children’s Literature New England. He truly is one of the most unique, creative, brilliant, and wonderful people you could ever know. I’ve always heard that visiting Ashley is wonderful. And now at Alison Morris’s PW blog, Shelftalker we can see photos of such a visit. I’m just incredibly envious.
