This was my favorite book of 2007, and I talked it up at every opportunity. I am so happy it won!

This photo is just precious – it couldn’t have happened to a nicer author! Your committee did a fantastic job, Monica, and made the best decisions. I’ve also appreciated your “Thoughts on Newbery” segments – as someone who wants to serve on the committee someday, I found them enormously helpful and thought-provoking. Thanks!
